Most small business software in India is built for English-speaking, tech-comfortable owners. Evynta designed and built Sahayak AI — a voice-and-text AI assistant that lets shopkeepers, pharmacists and hotel owners across West Bengal and Bangladesh manage stock, sales and credit entirely in Bengali, including local slang and Banglish.
Millions of small business owners across West Bengal and Bangladesh — grocers, pharmacists, sweet shop owners, hotel and dhaba operators, clothing retailers — still track stock, daily sales and customer credit ("baki") by hand in paper ledgers. Existing shop-management apps are built in English, assume comfort with forms and menus, and don't reflect how these owners actually speak or think about their business. The result: most digital tools get abandoned within days, and the paper khata stays in use.
Evynta built Sahayak AI (sahayakai.tech) from the ground up around natural Bengali conversation instead of forms and menus. An owner simply speaks or types a sentence like "আজ ৫ কেজি চাল বিক্রি হয়েছে ৬৫ টাকায়" and the AI updates stock, records the sale and keeps running reports automatically. The product ships as five specialized AI agents — Dokan Manager for general shops, Pharmacy Assistant with medicine expiry alerts, Hotel & Dhaba Manager for table orders, Mishti Dokan Manager for festival production planning, and Kaporer Dokan Tracker for clothing stock — each tuned to the vocabulary and workflows of that specific trade, in Bengali, Banglish and English, supporting both ₹ and ৳ currencies for cross-border use in India and Bangladesh.
"আগে খাতায় লিখতাম, এখন বাংলায় বললেই হয়। বাকির হিসাব একদম নিখুঁত।" (Before I used to write in a notebook, now I just speak in Bengali. The credit records are completely accurate.)
